Thanks for stopping by my crazy little web journal!
Hope you find something here to make you smile.

Well, it's the time of year that most normal parents around the country look forward to.
BACK TO SCHOOL!
All the clothes shopping is done with the exception of two minor things. At least until they actually get to school, they don't need for ANY supplies. Tonight we will be packing their bags all up after dinner and getting their clothes laid out for tomorrow. Tomorrow couldn't work out any better! Bob has to be to work at 6:30 instead of 8:00 am, so there will be enough time for both kids to shower in the morning. I love that. They will be all squeaky clean to go to school and we won't be running around like chickens without heads to do it. Deena and I picked her outfit out like 3 weeks ago and Joe? Well, I have an idea what I will put on him, but I am not entirely sure yet. I have to check the weather, because I bet he will want to wear pants. He likes covering up the two strings that hang from his shirt. We call them his legs.
He is so excited about going to school since I received a phone call from his teacher the other day. This year he is getting a man for a teacher. He was SO nice! I feel so relieved after the teacher he had last year. I guess crossing my fingers worked!! He gave me his email address and his cell and home phone number. I felt like saying, "hey, are we dating?" LOL. But I was so happy that he was so friendly and that he TOTALLY opened the lines of communication, WIDE OPEN! That is SO important to me. I want to know what is going on with my kids in school and I like the teacher to feel like they are able to call me if they have any concerns, or vice versa.
I already mentioned a couple of posts ago about how happy I will be to work with Deena's teacher again. She is great. I am thinking about baking cookies to send to their teachers tomorrow, if I have the stuff to do it in my cupboards. I usually do, but these days, I am lucky if I have T.P. available! LOL.
Hmm...what else?
My bro! Oh we had such a great time yesterday at the 'rents. My Baby Brother (who is 14 years older than me by the way) came out for a bit too. The kids just think the world of my baby brother, but now that they got to see my middle brother, they have been stuck up his butt, lol.
Hopefully sometime soon, by oldest brother will be able to make it home for a visit. We haven't seen him in a while either. It's been nice being able to see my middle brother, but it would have been great to have all the "boys" together at the same time. Someday.
Oh! Here's my beef for the day
aside from the one where I am really sick of the stupid window that keeps popping up telling me to restart my computer after updating Windows

. Ok, here goes. Now, Joe is on medicine that he takes every day after lunch. School's require a script from the Pediatrician, or they will not dispense the meds to the child. SO: even though last month when I went to the ped's with the kids, and ASKED for one to be mailed to me and they didn't send it, even though when I called for the new script to be mailed, for them to send one for the school along with it and they didn't send it, I figured, well "no biggie". I will just call and have them fax it over. WRONG.
You think they would be in the office for me to call them at all in the last week? NOPE. Monday I can understand, it was a holiday. But not Friday AND the day before school starts! I am SURE I am not the only parent that needed something before school started. Well, guess they are gonna be scrambling about like nut cakes tomorrow getting it faxed over before Noon. Too bad for them. How ridiculous for them not to be open the day before school starts. Just CLOSED. No doctor, nurse, receptionist, NO one. P-U. Glad I don't have to bring my kids there very often. Once a year is about all they ever need, lucky for me. My healthy little cherubs! So yeah, that's my gripe. Stinkin' doctors.
Alright, kiddies. I gotta get my butt outta this computer chair and get some things done.
Perhaps I will be back lata!
Toodles!
Colleen
They were probably to busy having a meeting on the golf course. I'd harrass them one more time to make sure they fax you the perscription. I don't get why the school needs a script anyway, what parent is going to ask the school to give there child illegal drugs? "Make sure after lunch my son smokes this joint". What happened to trust?
Maybe you could sneak your sons meds by baking them in the cookies, just don't get them mixed up with the ones you give his teacher, (or do it and have a little fun).
