Thanks for stopping by my crazy little web journal!
Hope you find something here to make you smile.
FINALLY! There is a God!
Well, no not REALLY, I'm just on a Beatles kick. It's been so long since I really listened to them and I really do love the Beatles.
So I installed a new dishwasher yesterday.
It's really loud, and leaks water all over the floor. It stops in the middle of washing and then makes an awful racket. And oh my GOD does is take forever. Most of the time the dishes are clean but they are not always dry. I get rid of it, but I think Joe and Deena like it around here too much. Yep, you guess it, I have now realized that I have two kids here that need to start pulling their weight. They have gotten off pretty easy without having to do much for chores. So, Boob and I came to the conclusion that they should do something daily to learn responsibilty. And since we both loathe doing dishes, what better chore to give them? Hehehe.
Yes we are both evil, but I know I had to do dishes when I was a kid, and so did Bob. Hopefully, though as time goes by, they will get better about the water being everywhere and the fighting that goes along with it.
Our Halloween costumes are mostly in order now.
With a few finishing touches, everything should be great. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I just love seeing everyone in their costumes. My favorite was when Bob dressed as Frankenstein. It was a last minute costume, that I threw together (literally) with the exception of the makeup. That year, we didn't really have the extra money to spend on cotumes for ourselves, so I just went through his closet and that was that. He only needed the green makeup and the bolts. That was five years ago and since then he has been Frankenstein like 3 times and we thought this year we would do something as a family. SO, we decided to be Star Wars Characters!

Bob is gonna be who other than Vader, Joe will be Obi Wan, Dee will be Leia, and I will be Padme.
One thing I haven't decided yet, is whether or not to be preggers or not. It's still up in the air and probably will be until Halloween night. It would kinda be funny to be preggers while walking around with what should be (and is) my daughter. We'll see. Bob has worked pretty hard on his costume and well I have a bit of adding to do to mine. Bob's cape needs hemming, so today he went and dragged out my sewing machine. I said, "what's that?" to which he replied "your sewing machine?" Which I already knew, but you have to understand, this sewing machine was given to me a long time ago and probably saw through the world wars. When I first got it, I used it for a while, but not to do anything big. I kept breaking needles and well, let's just say, me and the machine had a falling out. It got packed away, never to see the light of day, again. That is until today. And so Bob asks me..."How do you use it?" Well, hell if I know. He said don't you need bobbins, and as far as I know, I had a few, but as if I know where they are."Where are they?" Do I sew??? For real, Bob. If this thing was from some time this century, I would probably be able to figure it out. Instead, I will leave the figuring out to Bob, if he wants me to sew it, afterwards, I will give it some thought. Otherwise, I say bring it over to my Mom's.(She would certainly love me offering her services.
Oh guess what?!?! I saw something today that I haven't seen in AGES! The dang SUN!! Believe it or not, it WAS out today. Normally I keep the back blinds closed to protect my carpet from fading, but today I HAD to let it in. I missed it so! So I did nothing but sit on my fat butt today and enjoy the sunlight. I worked all weekend and needed a little recreation, so I decided to play the Lord of the Rings PC game for a bit. The game really irritated me at this one part that can't get past. After 4 cups of hot chocolate, I gave up. I plan to have Joe try later, since he will play until he gets past it. Me? I get to frustrated. But anyway, I brought up the sun because I have been wanting to post about the rain that we have had for like 10 or 11 days straight. It's been ridiculous. We missed out on our ports because it started raining 15 minutes before the shoot. We have to secure plans to reschedule, but that all depends on the weather and this time it better be in our favor. In the mean time, I thought I would post a pic of my new 'do, as promised. This photo is courtesy of Deena. She is my little photographer. Let me know what ya think of it. I have been playing with new styles and colors for a while. It helps when your best friend is a stylist.
Well, I have to get dinner for the little cherubs, so that I can sit back and watch them do more dishes, in a little bit. BAHAHAHAHA
Cheerio, Kids!
Colleen
Wow! You look gorgeous! Of course, after the three pictures I've seen of you thus far, anything would look good on you! Great color, too!
You look so pretty Colleen! You also look really different if you didn't say that that was a picture of you I wouldn't have noticed. Your new dishwasher sounds horrible but I like your idea of getting the kiddies to do it. Have a great time on Hallowe'en and make sure to post pic's of your costume!
